Quality CJ, Linkshare, Avantlink WordPress Plugins

As we all know, being able to display affiliate offers along side your WordPress content is a great way of generating addition income for your website.

Whilst I was building quite a few Halloween sites this Autumn I found adding relevant offers from certain Affiliate Networks to be a little time consuming and cumbersome. The main problem was that I was using Commission Junction and Linkshare, so couldn't use plugins like phpBay or phpZon and I couldn't really find any alternative quality, reasonably priced plugins to do the job. So I decided to go ahead and create a few different plugins based on what I wanted to achieve on my own sites and so Wizard Plugins were born.

The Wizard Plugins are a new set of premium plugins for WordPress which can be purchased individually or as part of a discounted package:

  1. CJ - Commission Junction Plugin For WordPress
  2. Avantlink - Avantlink.com WordPress Plugin
  3. Linkshare - Linkshare.com WordPress Plugin
  4. Overstock - The Overstock.com Plugin For WordPress (Updated)

  • SEO Friendly URLS
  • Flexible HTML External Template For Maximum Flexibility
  • Fully Configurable Sidebar Widget

    Hey Ben,

How well does the CJ Plugin work with the KTW tool also? Can you PM me a Demo using this, didn’t see one on your site? This looks like an alternative to R’zon.

    Ben,

Is this not the same as WPRobot?

    Hi Sean,

I’m not a user of KTW so I can’t really answer that for you.

The best way I can describe it is that the functionality of adding products to a post is quite similar to phpBay, i.e. you add your shortcode, specify parameters and display results.

The nice thing about this CJ plugin is that it will work with the “auto insert” and “search box” mods people have posted in the phpBay forums.

I don’t have a live demo of it at the moment, it’s on my own personal sites. I’ll install it on a spare domain and send you a pm. Which forum do you want me to send it to?

    Hi Dave,

Nope, more similar to phpBay in the way it works, uses shortcode placed into your pages/posts. Putting a quick demo video together this afternoon when I get chance.

    Thanks Ben,

I’m familiar with the shortcode, I use it with PhpBay to call specific products in specific categories using the WP Custom Field.

I have some sites using PhpBay and KTW together, they do pretty good. I tried KTW with Rw’zon but got some errors, haven’t tried it since the new updates were released. I like KTW alot. Mish mash sites like Mark at NSB talks about.

Thats why I’m interested in this with the CJ plugin, looks good from what I can tell. Only thing about Cj is that sometimes those Affiliates ‘expire’ and your clicks on are in limbo. But longer cookies than Amazon.

What do you mean by “Which forum do you want me to send it to?”

  • Ben Johnson (author) said:

Okay cool, I thought you were a member of phpBay but couldn’t remember as I’ve not been around the forums lately, too busy.

Yes, it should work with custom fields/categories/tags etc.

If it works with phpBay then it should work with KTW.

You said to pm a demo, I wondered which forum you wanted to Pm you on, or did you want me to email you?

  • Sean said:

    Email me. Thanks.

  • Ben Johnson (author) said:

    Okay Sean, email sent.

  • Sean said:

I got the info. Gotta figure out how to integrate it now.

  • Ben Johnson (author) said:

    Okay Sean, thanks for that.

    Hey Ben,

I’m really interested in your CJ plugin – is it possible to see an example of what the output looks like on a sample blog?

You can email me or send a PM to the WF or phpbay forum?

    Thanks!
    Caro

    Hey Caroline,

I’ve just added some live listings to my latest post so you can see the listings:

    http://www.benjohnsonblog.com/1400/commission-junction-wordpress-plugin-video-preview/

The template control is external and each piece of info is displayed with tokens like%%price%%, %%name%% etc. So you can create your own templates should you want to.

    Hope that helps
    Ben
