I recently obtained a copy of the wordpress review site plugin which allows you to build a complete wordpress review site. Now as many of you know building a site with unique content is something of great importance when it comes to the success or failure of your affiliate site, I have noticed that this is where many new BANS users fail in particular. Many people come along and try BANS or phpBay and then complain it doesn't work but half the problem is that they slap up a 2 minute site which is just full of RSS content rather than keyword optimized unique content, they then replicate this process 20 times and consequently make very little money, get banned from EPN and give up. The plugin allows you to add star ratings to any wordpress post and you can add an unlimited number of categories which you want people to add ratings for. The plugin automatically takes any ratings made and converts them into an average overall rating for that post. If you choose, these ratings can then be automatically sorted by highest first, this way your customers will be able to see the highest rated products at the top of the list of posts.

Its a very flexible plugin which completely integrates with your wordpress site seemlessly, whatsmore its flexibility will allow you to chop and change things around to suit the way you want your site to look and feel. Cost
The cost isn't cheap so really I would only reccommend that you purchase this plugin if you are totally dedicated to building a compelte review site with wordpress. Its not going to be one of those sites which you can just put up and leave, its going to take a lot of work to get it up and running but if you just add a few product reviews a week you will find your site soon builds up. Once you have filled your site up with some good reviews of course the ultimate aim is to get people adding their own reviews and for this you will need traffic to your site which will be acheived through the usual methods of article marketing, link building, squidoo lense marketing, SEO etc etc.
Your purchase comes with lifetime upgrades and I would say that this plugin is certainly here to stay.

There are a number of ways you can build a site using this plugin. Mark at the Niche Store Builder has started talking about his plans to use the plugin on a new site he has been working on. I will be using the site with phpBay and probably phpZon and popshops but there are of course other ways to monetize the site but obviously the point is product reviews and as I mentioned earlier you could always use BANS with the plugin, my converted template available here will allow you to add a store to a sub directory.
