Overstock’s Affiliate Program to go to Commission Junction

It looks like all of the speculation surrounding Overstock and it's affiliate program can now be laid to rest. Overstock have just sent around an affiliate newsletter to announce that Overstock will be moving it's affiliate management through to Commission Junction in the next few weeks. Here is a copy of the letter which was sent:

"We are delighted to announce that the Overstock.com Affiliate Program will be transitioned from the LinkShare network to the Commission Junction network. As many of you are aware, we have had a long and mutually successful partnership with LinkShare, but feel at this time it is in the best interest of our Affiliate Program to make this change.  We look forward to and appreciate both networks' commitment to ensuring that it is a smooth process for our publishers. The transition to Commission Junction will begin within the next three to four weeks.

Further details regarding our migration plan will be forthcoming. In the meantime, we intend to operate the business as usual.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us."

We are well aware that some of you who are currently using phpOStock may have concerns over the changes but we can assure you that we will be adapting the plugin to accomodate any changes that occur and any current users will recieve their updated versions.

We will try our best to make this transition as smoothe a process as possible.

    Thanks for keeping us informed. If I am approved for Overstock through Linkshare, will I need to apply again through CJ, or is that a detail that isn’t yet known?

    It’s not something that I have found out but I will email my contact today and find out, I would imagine thought that accounts for Overstock will be carried forward but you will need to get yourself in with CJ, but I will get this clarified for you.

    Where is the phpOstock update!!!! I applied with Overstock on the CJ network about three times. I was denied even though being a member in good standing through Linkshare for several years. After sending the Affiliate manager an email and explaining my situation, my application was promptly approved. So, now I am finally approved through eBay, but I can’t get a response from Ben or Alan about the update! It was due to be out over a week ago. My links to Overstock through Linkshare are totally disabled now and I have a useless site! So what’s up guys????
