Overstock.com Affiliate Program Moves to CJ.com
This is just a very short post just to let you know about Overstock.com an their affiliate program. As you may be aware I have mentioned in a couple of previous posts about the updates coming to our phpOStock Plugin for WordPress, well now Overstock.com have completed their transition across to Comission Junction from Linkshare. The important facts which you need to know are:
- Beginning at 12:01 AM MST, April 28th, the only tracking system available will be through Commission Junction—Linkshare links will be turned off
- Our 14 day cookie with Linkshare will remain intact and still track residual sales until it expires as usual.
- We are manually accepting CJ applications—waiting until the last minute to apply for our program may not guarantee your acceptance in a timely manner—switch early.
We are currently in the process of upgrading the plugin to bring it in line with the new affiliate program over at CJ.com. Unfortunately we have not been kept as informed as I would have liked regarding the changeover and it would seem that we have less time than we thought to get our plugin updated so the links point through CJ. This said, we are currently working hard to get this essential part of the plugin updated first and we will notify current phpOStock users as soon as the update is completed.
For those of you who want to purchase the plugin, we have currently removed it from sale due to the upgrades required for it to work after the Linkshare links are turned off. However you can get yourself onto the phpOStock update pre-release list over at phpOStock.com, this will not be used as a marketing list but will be used to pre-notify you when the new version of phpOStock becomes available.

I all honesty no I’m not new to affiliate marketing by any means. I have been working online now for around 5 years. The main part of the course which I wanted to learn from was product creation and email marketing.
The majority of my experience is in building niche affiliate sites and web design so the product creation aspect was quite a change.
I’m glad you enjoy the posts, I try to aim at all levels of experience where possible.
