Building a healthy portfolio of product based niche affiliate websites has been dubbed the N1Way to make money online. However, building a portfolio which is large enough to bring you in a significant amount of income is something which the majority of people struggle to achieve on their own. That said, it's entirely possible to build a portfolio of websites on your own which consistently bring you in enough money to work from home it's just going to take you significant longer to do so.

Outsourcing is a good way of speeding up this process and it's covered fully as a step in the N1Way e-guide. The entire process of site building can be outsourced from niche research right thought to actually putting the site together and submitting it to the first search engine, however outsourcing costs money! Mallet Putters

Over the last couple of months I have been following the N1Way guide to put together several new websites, around 10 inf act, all are doing well so far and fitting in with the overall plan. You may remember that Mark over at N1Way Guide was kind enough to give away one of his Rank Spanker reports completely free on his website. This 'blueprint' contained full recommendations on a complete site structure including the niche itself, domain names, reviews and guides. I was lucky enough to snap up those domain names and build my first N1Way site and thanks to Mark, I had it completed a lot quicker than my other 9.

So without further a due, here is the site I completed first using N1Way and I wanted you to be able take a look for yourselves. The site was built around the niche of mallet putters. Read the rest of this entry »

Finding AN Alternative to ePN!

Affiliate Networks

As many of you will notice I have been quite quiet lately on the blog front, there are several reasons for that. The main one is that I've been spending quite a lot of time working on my own sites and re-developing the phpOStock sales page as well as moving the member database to my new members area to accommodate for the move of phpOStock over to the Clickbank marketplace. But now all of that is complete I will be able to post here more often, that is when I come back from my well earned week away next week :). Kate and I are heading off to Spain for a week away from everything, it'll be a nice break and I'll be able to return home refreshed before starting my new job online full time from the 5th of October. In that time my support desk will be fully monitored so questions won't go unanswered.

So, now onto the title of the post! I have received many emails over the last few weeks from people expressing their concern over the new commission structure from ePN which is due to come into force in less than a week. The main trend I have found from the emails is that people are wondering what to do IF their sites are not earning well under the new ePN structure Read the rest of this entry »

Today I wanted to write a very quick and simple post to cover a subject which I tend to get asked by a lot of people and that is how do you get approved for the Overstock.com Affiliate program? I know from experience that this is something which can be notoriously difficult to achieve, however after speaking to one of Overstock's affiliate managers I have a few do's and don't which you should adhere to when applying for their affiliate program. Build A Niche Store

It's been a while since I last posted about the BANS site build experiment so I wanted to write a post to let you all know how it's coming along.

For those of you who haven't been following then I will quickly bring you up to date; I wanted to look at and answer the question of 'Is BANS Really Dead?', this has basically involved me researching and building a BANS website from scratch over the last month and so far here's what's happened.

Updates Since I Last Posted

Slight Change of Direction

The site has come on quite a bit since I last posted, I have actually been a little delayed in getting the site completed mainly because I took a slightly different direction with it and so I had to do some additional research into the niche in order to get the site how I really wanted it. Number 1 Way to Make Money Online

Update: The price of 'The Number 1 Way to Make Money Online' has been reduced back to $24.95 as of 25th July 2009

Well if you haven't bought the new guide from the BANS guys, Adam and Kelvin, then you have about 2 hours to go until the price goes up  from $24.95 to $44.95 so if you have been hesitating then now is the time to make your mind up if you want to save yourself nearly 50% off the price. To help you make up your mind you can read my review here which I wrote after taking a few good hours to go over it with my own fine tooth comb along with several cups of coffee.

In addition to the above price increase Adam and Kelvin have announced a new addition to the Number 1 Way to Make Money Online guide called 'Treat It Like A Business: The Necessary Perspective For Success'. It sounds like it could potentially be quite an interesting read and hopefully I'll be able to post more about it later on.

If you are pondering buying the guide for yourself but are not 100% sure of whether you will be able to stick it through, why not follow Mark Hansen who will be creating a new site using the guide right in front of your eyes over at the Build A Niche Store Guide Blog. Very generously, Mark will be giving away the site he builds in a competition to one lucky winner once it's completed. To get enter yourself into his competition you can jump on over to his new blog at Build A Niche Store Guide. Enjoy!

The New BANS Guide: My Review

Build A Niche Store GuideOkay, so the long awaited product from the creators of Build A Niche Store is finally here and I have had chance to work my way through it over the last 24 hours and it's truly been an enjoying read.

I have been building niche product based affiliate websites online now for the last 3 years and as many of you know my first experiences were with BANS. I made a lot of mistakes with BANS but from those mistakes I was able to learn an awful lot, which has enabled me to have the success I have had with my own network of sites. So with that said I actually bought the guide more out of curiosity than through necessity, but I am very glad I did!

Build A Niche Store Guide Release Date Set PLUS My Bonuses

BANS HandbookThe release of the new 9 step guide titled 'The Number 1 Way to Make Money Online' has yet again been delayed, this time we are assured that the final release date has been set as 8am EST. I understand the marketing tactic of delaying the release date to gain more interest but you also have to be extremely careful that you don't loose interest, in this case I think they may have ruffled a few feathers but will it affect their sales? Probably not.

The BANS Experiment: Site Build Update

BANS

Well it's been two weeks now since I decided to build a new BANS site to answer the question 'Is BANS really Dead?' because a lot of people have been asking it. So I just wanted to write a short post to let you know how I've been getting on.

So far I haven't been able to progress as far as I would have liked because of one distraction or another, however this weekend I have really made good progress with the site and it's starting to take shape and look the way I want it to.  Below I have detailed exactly what I have done to the site so far:

BANS Site Build: Week 1 Update

Around three days after I made my first post announcing that I was going to build a new BANS website I decided to register a completely new domain name rather than one which I had lying around, my reason for this was so that I had a domain name with no traffic and which wasn't indexed. So on the 23rd of June I registered my new domain name, the name is a one word .com domain name just six letters long and fits perfectly with my chosen niche. Read the rest of this entry »

Inappropriate Ad Placement WILL Loose You Sales!

One of the most common things I see, and I have made this mistake myself in the past, is people putting ads on their affiliate sites in prime locations such as at the very top of the website page in the header or above their content before affiliate listings. Many people don't think about this when they are putting a site together but just imagine for a second you are not that familiar with the internet and you're doing a basic search for a product you want to buy. You click on a link from Google which brings you through to an eBay affiliate website which lists auctions of the product you are looking for but instead of staying on that website and browsing the content and the listings you see a nice big advertising banner or adsense listing at the top of the site and you click on it, immediately you are taken away from the site.

You would be surprised how many people show me sites which have this kind of scenario going on. Their stats show their site visitors leave almost immediately after entering but their adsense account is making some money from the site. Read the rest of this entry »

Is BANS Really Dead? Lets Experiment!

BANS

My first proper affiliate website was built using the platform known as Build A Niche Store (aka BANS). I say proper because I had actually toyed around with iFrames and Amazon aStores for a while before that, along with associateomatic, but all in all I didn't really know what I was doing and had little success with either of the latter. BANS was where I first started to learn how to make money through the eBay Affiliate Program and from that point of view I owe a lot of my basic knowledge to buying BANS back when it was first released, albeit somewhat different from the platform we see in front of us today.

I currently have no BANS sites left as the few remaining ones had 'died' off and just weren't making any money and so from then onwards I stopped using BANS. You may also have heard about BANS V3.0 sites being de-indexed from Google for....well little or no reason whatsoever other than the fact the Google algorithm does not like affiliate sites, or at least thin affiliate sites anyway. phpZon Plugin for WordPress

For those of you who have been waiting for this I just wanted to let you know that phpZon has finally been released to the public as Version 1.0 as of this evening.

phpZon V1.0 comes in two forms, there is a WordPress plugin release and an API release. The API version allows you to build a website based around the Amazon affiliate program, it gives you a huge amount of flexibility but also is not for beginners.

The version for use with WordPress comes as a simple and easy to install plugin which allows you to add Amazon listings directly into your WordPress pages and posts using a single line of code in the same way as you would with phpOStock or phpBay .
