Outsourcing content for your websites is a fantastic way of building your business in a much quicker and more efficient way, content outsourcing is something I've being doing for a while now and it makes my life so much easier. In fact when you are building BIG content rich websites in a niche you have very little knowledge about, it often becomes an alomost impossible challenge to complete all of the content yourself to a high standard.

The main place I use for my content is TextBroker.com, some of you may or may not have used them in the past yourselves. The thing I love about TextBroker is that I can submit an order to the community for one article or 30 articles and have the content back within a couple of days. But the one thing which I hated was having to login to TextBroker to manage my orders and copy the content across from TextBroker to WordPress, especially when my site contained 40 reviews or more. It was for this very reason I decided to develop a WordPress plugin which would make this process both quicker and easily, and so WP TextBroker was born.

After I released the FREE Avantlink.com plugin last week I had over 120 downloads and I was quite shocked that so many people had already being looking for something to allow them to do what AvantPress does. So due to it's high popularity I decided to add support for Avantlink.com to our hugely successful Price Comparison Plugin for WordPress, CompariPress.

I sent out the updated version to our ever growing list of users just a few days a go and have so far received excellent feedback. The Avantlink.com network contains mostly sporting and outdoor type products such as golfing, cycling and football, so can be a great earner if your in any sporting niches.

Over the last few months I've been placing more and more videos into the content of my Affiliate Websites, no matter which platform they have been built with, but one of the biggest challenges I always found was which video WordPress plugin to use. In the past I've always used Smart Youtube and whilst this is a fantastic little plugin for what it is, it never had everything I quite wanted from a video plugin. After some more digging I finally came across this little beauty:

I recently wanted to promote some sporting products from Avantlink.com within one of my WordPress websites and I couldn't find a plugin to do it so I decided to create my own. AvantPress is a simple Avantlink Plugin for WordPress which allows you to display live product listings from Avantlink.com directly within your WordPress posts or pages, you can see an example below:

Products are displayed by placing a simple piece of shortcode where you want your listings to display. The following options are available to refine your results:

• Keywords (positive & negative)
• Number of products
• Minimum price
• Maximum price
• Merchant ID(s)
• Items on sale

You can also choose to display:

• Short product description
• Long product description
• Abbreviated product description

The plugin is free so it's not hugely fancy but it served the purpose I wanted it for and I hope you get some benefit from it. Simply enter your name and email into the fields below and you will receive the plugin via an email attachment.

After recently releasing CompariPress and hopefully releasing Niche Site Platform next week, I want to try and make a few more blog posts, when I get chance, which will give you hints and tips on how to use my products or certain features in the best way possible. For a while now we've being getting a few emails asking about whether SEO/cloaked URLs for the affiliate links contained within the CompariPress PCU could be added to CompariPress PCU ... well the good new is we've just released an update for the plugin which enables you to cloak all of the outbound affiliate links within the PCUs you display in your WordPress pages or posts. That's cloaked affiliate links for all Amazon products, Linkshare products and CJ products.

We have also added several other smaller features which have enhanced the usability of our price comparison plugin for WordPress.

Much to my annoyance I was subjected to a site hacker attack on two of my newer Commission Ritual websites today, I'm not 100% sure how long they had been hacked for since I haven't checked either of the sites since the beginning of last week. It looks to me like they carried out some kind of SQL injection attack. The fix was simple enough, just a case of navigating into my site via FTP and replacing the affected files but it still created around an extra 1 hours work due to the fact I then had to go through and change my usernames and passwords all over again. How annoying!!

Today, I just wanted to give you the heads up on a couple of plugins I use to make my life a lot easier when putting together a brand new WordPress website.

There are two problems/issues I always seem to face when putting together a new WordPress affiliate website. For example, if you look at my Mallet Putters website you can see that there is a huge amount of content on that site which I added and scheduled during the site build of just a few hours. The first problem was that adding that amound of content using the 'Add New Post' method would literally take hours to do. The second problem is that when I am working through these large site builds I almost always end up adding posts where I meant to add pages or vice versa which can be a real nightmare when you realise 5 or more of the posts you added were meant to be pages.

As you will notice by the date of my last post it has been around 3 weeks since I posted here and the main reason for that is really because I have been so busy preparing a new and exciting product for release very very soon. Testing, tweaking and simply putting this product through its paces has literally taken up the last month of my working and none working life but it’s certainly been worth it.

Understanding your ePN stats and being able to make changes accordingly could be difficult enough at the best of times but now that ePN have changed their commission structure, the way that you interpret your reports has also changed. Personally, one of the major flaws with the new program, other than the program itself, is the layout of the ePN dashboard. The fact that you have to navigate in and out of screens quite honestly makes things a lot harder than they have to be. Alan Lewis has come up with a solution for this in the form of a WordPress plugin known as PiggyBank.

Piggybank is not a new plugin by any means, it's been around for a while now but since the change of the ePN commission structure from % to EPC this plugin has really come into it's own. What this plugin allows you to do is see all of your important report data in one place, helping you to better understand which sites are failing and which ones aren't.
