Revised 06/05/10 - Melissa, for whatever reason, doesn't seem to be online at the moment and therefore not offering services!

A couple of months back I tried out a new tool for spinning articles called The Best Spinner and it really was one of the best article spinning tools I have ever used and I've tried and tested most of the popular ones. It allows you to easily take 1 article and spin it to produce several copies of that article, each with a certain percentage of uniqueness. If you don't own this software or don't have the time to use it then Melissa Eaton (long time BANS member and one of the first forum moderators) is offering several extremely cheap article spinning services which may interest you. She has several options on offer Read the rest of this entry »

For a while now we've being getting a few emails asking about whether SEO/cloaked URLs for the affiliate links contained within the CompariPress PCU could be added to CompariPress PCU ... well the good new is we've just released an update for the plugin which enables you to cloak all of the outbound affiliate links within the PCUs you display in your WordPress pages or posts. That's cloaked affiliate links for all Amazon products, Linkshare products and CJ products.

We have also added several other smaller features which have enhanced the usability of our price comparison plugin for WordPress.

We have also been getting a few other common questions/requests so I thought I'd take the time to answer them here. Read the rest of this entry »

I wanted to write about something a little different today, something away from my usual tutorials that I tend to write, so I thought I would tell you about 3 Addons for Firefox which are an absolute must for me in my niche site building and my web designing. Now, I like to vary the browser I use to view the internet, my favourite is Google Chrome and I like using Opera as well but purely for some of the fantastic addons you can get for it I still LOVE using Firefox, even if it has got 'clunkier' as time's gone on.

Three Addons I can't Live Without

ScreenGrab Screen Capture Addon

Screengrab is a fantastic and powerful little tool which integrates a screen capture ability into your browser. Screengrab enables you to capture the entire window, the entire page (visible and non-visible) or a selection which you choose, whatsmore you can even save directly to file OR copy the image to paste into your favouriate image editing tool for later use. Fliptactics – Auction Day – Achieving Maximum Profit!

Posted on 22nd March 2010

Well this is the final post in the Fliptatics series and I really hope you've beenable to take something away from it, I know I've certainly enjoyed writing it. Inthis last post I would like to cover some of the things you should and should not bedoing on auction day in order for you to achieve maximum profit from your websitesale. The first thing which needs to be said and probably the most obvious is that if you don't have a fairly decent site to sell then no amount of sales copy orjargon is going to get you a good price and I'm sure you wouldn't expect it toeither.

The first thing you absolutely must do before you even begin to construct yourlisting for Flippa is familiarise yourself with all of the selling fees which you can potentially incur.  A full list of the auction fees can be seen here:http://flippa.com/pricing.  For a standard basic listing it's going to cost you $19 which is payable immediately when the auction is created, in addition there is a 5% success fee which must be paid after the auction completes. The success fee is capped at $498 and can be split between the seller and the buyer or paid in full byeither party.

There are several listing upgrades available which, if you purchased all of them, would cost you over $100, but if you are selling a high priced site then many ofthose upgrades may certainly be worth the investment, particularly the front page listing. Read the rest of this entry »

HalfAgain Dot Com For Sale On Flippa!

Update:  I would like to provide a couple of updates to this post for a couple of reasons. Firstly to apologise to the guys at HalfAgain for any bad feeling caused by my post below, as I can see how some of my comments may have been taken to cause offence. The comments weren't mean to come across as they did and after reflection and a lengthy discussion with Omar at HalfAgain I would like to retract my comments.

The second reason I wanted to provide an update was to give you more information on why they guys at Half Again decided to try and raise some cash from their business. I had a long email conversation with Omar at HalfAgain and essentially what they were looking for, and may still be looking for, is a partner who could potentially manage the marketing side of HalfAgain, allowing them to free up their time and put their effort into more mainstream projects. They have developed some great products which are stable and just require marketing, really it's a "no brainer" as to why they would have tried to take on a partner.

End Update

Okay so this was one I guess I didn't really expect, I was in the middle of writing my final Flippa post in the Fliptastic series and doing my usual daily browse around Flippa and found this ...Half Again.com, the creators of StoreStacker, BlogProftiz and many other products in the niche site building arena. They are looking for offers around $200,000 or other 'deals' can be negotiated. Will they really achieve their asking price? I don't really know but I'll certainly be watching with interest.

Auction can be seen here!

CompariPress – Our Price Comparison Plugin for WordPress – Coming Next Week!

Posted on 11th March 2010

I know a lot of you have been waiting for the release of this plugin for the last few months and I apologize for the delay, we had some problems with the direction we originally took with its development and decided to start over again. But I have to say I think that it's been worth it and I hope you will think so too!

The original concept of the CompariPress plugin was to utilize one affiliate network to enable you to complete easy price comparisons in the smallest amount of time, but the main downside to this was that the affiliate network you would need to be a part of was taking forever and a day to approve new affiliates into their network and into their developer program. This is where we took a change of direction and CompariPress PCU was born.

CompariPress PCU (Price Comparison Unit) will allow you to select items from multiple affiliate networks and display them within the pages or posts of your WordPress affiliate website in the form of a tidy PCU. Read the rest of this entry »

Fliptactics – Getting A Head Start With Traffic, Google PR & Backlinks!

Posted on 10th March 2010

I only want to make this a short post just to let you know a little tip about getting ahead in your website flip.

One of the things which people find most difficult is getting visitors to their website in the first place, they can build some really great looking sites in really great niches but they struggle when it comes to getting traffic. Whilst there is no miracle solution to this issue, other than good marketing and hard work, there is a little tactic you can use to get yourself ahead from the very beginning.

Where do you buy your domains?

In the previous post 'Fliptactics - Building A Fliptastic Site' we saw how well a site was selling on Flippa which had high traffic, Google PR and an aged domain amongst many other things. But the reason I mention these three things in particular is simply because these are things you can sometimes get to a certain extent just by purchasing your domain name from Godaddy auctions (thanks to Mark - The Niche Store Builder for sending me here a couple of years back). Godaddy auctions have thousands of domain names listed starting from just $5 which already have traffic, Google PR and often many backlinks. In fact, just a few months a go Read the rest of this entry »
